“Coming to a negotiating table through power can have advantages and disadvantages,” he says thoughtfully, “and coming from Thorne, such an approach may be taken even more poorly. I agree with Jon: we need time to seek information on our own and consider our position.”

He looks to both of them.

“I mentioned Libertas as it was clear from the servant talk that it was most likely to accept refugees from Thorne with open arms, if only out of spite. A city of outcasts is a place with lots of opportunity, but also many perspectives.”

He bows his head.
