but theirs weren't the only faces that flickered through her mind. she recalls a more familiar face, one that she'd seen around the farm, even spoken to β henry is his name.
her fingers curl against the wool blanket, nearing gripping at her own legs beneath it. she'd seen him, anger and violence in his eyes, violent in his intent. he'd been amongst them, towering over as she'd been shoved to the dirt. ]
