Back home, she'd have this solved quickly with her Focus, but back home there likely wouldn't be any supernatural interference, either. She lives in the woods. The fact that she hasn't solved this yet weighs more heavily on her than she'd like to admit.
So when Nero seems to have an actual lead, she jumps at the chance. Steve comes along too, and though she'd ordinarily be handling something like this by herself, the nature of these woods means she's glad for the company.
If only the circumstances were better. Luckily, Nero's done his homework, and it isn't long before they see signs of what they're looking for.]
