beloyaltome: (sorrow)

[Lenore certainly is surprised by the tiny hut. In her experience, usually when nobles try to live like common people, it's as an artful caricature of peasant life, spacious cottages and twining roses, and they only need to take the pies out of the oven to pretend they've baked them after the servants were the ones to do all the work.

This ... it's lonely. A punishing sort of loneliness, especially since Alucard has chosen to actively condemn himself to this. And yet there's still an enormous kitchen, enough to feed plenty of people. She wonders about how the plan for that goes, since there's nowhere to host all those people, and she can't imagine Alucard gets that many visitors.

Perhaps, she wonders, the kitchen is the part that resembles home, to some degree, and he chose it not because he intends to feed that many people but because it's the place where he feels safe.

She takes a seat by the fire, letting her umbrella dissolve away and her hemline unfurl to the ground.]
Thank you.
