The joke surprises a short burst of laughter out of her, though she quickly presses the back of her hand to her mouth. Maybe not appropriate to be laughing right now, for multiple reasons.
"I can't say I disagree," she allows, posture relaxing a little as she shifts closer. She maintains a polite distance, still relatively wary of what exactly he might have done to find himself in his current state, but no longer worried about him immediately lashing out at her.
"Though I don't think our hosts feel similarly, and as we are dependent upon their ... hospitality ..."--they've got our hands tied, magically speaking. "To be clear, I was offering help either with getting some of that blood off of you or with ... whatever undertaking produced it. Quite possibly both."
