The more who show up, the more they're going to have to ration. Steve sets out to look around yet again hopes of finding something he missed, some path that he overlooked that might contain another water source or anything else of use. Escape is the priority, but they need to make sure that they stay functional in the meantime, as he's already explained a few times by now.

Not following his own advice, he's by himself when he comes across Istredd, tucked away in one of the corners with his eyes shut. He doesn't think he's asleep, but... maybe meditating? Trying to get to the Horizon? It's not the worst idea.

"Hey, I'm not sure it's safe here." He keeps his voice low, not wanting to startle him too much. "If you want to try and get into the Horizon, do it where we can keep an eye on you."

He doesn't yet realize this is someone who's lost their calm and is taking a moment. Whoops.
