This must be how Yennefer feels anytime she gets a rise out of Lucifer, the cracks in his masks. He does hold more respect to useful/dangerous people and it feels good to see that thrown back his way, rising to the challenge instead of shying away. He might have even actually dismissed her had she pulled away.

He hums at her comment and folds his arms in consideration. "I didn't put much stock into the decks," he admits. "Some demons leaned into it, but it was primarily used in witchcraft," he makes a face of disgust at the word. It's only because of Wanda, here, that he has a little more acknowledgement for witches, but there's clear dislike there. "So you're knowledge has more value than mine in this instance."

There's been flashes or engravings of symbols we're aware of in the Horizon both when the Heralds came through and when the--mm--nightmares from the Singularity occurred, but..." He gestures blankly at the symbol. "But for better or for worse Abraxas uses their version of the deck to empower spells."
