[ castiel's head spins, and he hardly feels Ciri's boot connecting with his hip, slouched back against the tunnel walls, the cool of the stone refreshing against the bubbling heat at the back of his neck, soaking in through his shirt. for a moment, he forgets where he is, consciousness swimming somewhere.
abruptly, a dull glow and Ciri's voice snaps him back. the cool of the rock sets in a fever chill, cold sweat on his face and hands. it's enough to anchor him, and Cas grits his teeth, groaning as he starts pushing himself up.
