[ She nods in confirmation before taking a sip of the tea, finally. It's good--as she would hope by tea made in Horizon. ]
Yes, I was there.
[ She'd been curious how Solvunn was going to handle it as they claim to be neutral, but as soon as the Council tried to vie for more territory...she wonders how neutral they really are, at least in regards to Thorne and the Free Cities. At least their stance on the Singularity itself seems stalwart.
What Natasha brings forth makes plenty of sense--there's a greater picture here that they're trying to grasp and this is something that affects everyone regardless of faction. Maybe there are a few holes Himeka can help fill in in Wanda's absence.
She sets the cup down. ]
Wanda told you she's the Councilmember from the Tertiary Settlement, yes? That's also the Settlement that people have gone missing from for some time now... I chanced a vision of it thanks to a walking house with animal legs in the forest.
[ That's another story. ]
It's the settlement of "outsiders" too, which makes them an easier target. The people who don't fully fit into Solvunn's way of things. People who may not be as readily missed.
The Council has been out of sorts for a little while now, enough for all of us to notice. Josselyn has disappeared, which I suppose could make her a target. When I spoke with Councilmember Rowan I'd asked if she'd had any differing opinions on the Summoned from the rest of the Council and he'd said that he believes her views had...changed. That she didn't see the Summoned as an important part of the Commune life like everyone else, that her focus was more on trade. But he's worried it goes even beyond that, now.
