[ Istredd is sturdy in frame and he's probably tougher than he realizes, having never really been in a situation where he's been challenged. This might be the time he'll get a test of his mettle, for better or for worse. Starting right here and now with Geralt trying to find ways to keep him alive when otherwise he would have probably broken his neck attempting.
He hands over his cloak without any argument. They did briefly work together acceptably well, so he is going to roll with the witcher's instructions. Whatever their situation, he trusts the man knows what the fuck he's doing. He wraps his hands as instructed, a little timidly in the way that he's not sure if it works, but he wants to live. He very much wants to live.
He has seen people make versions of this during his research, people who didn't have magic and had to do it the normal way, so he has observed what Geralt is suggesting. This will be his first actual attempt. And a very important one. The harness seems to have mostly functioned, although it is still a question mark if this will work. ]
Yes. Thank you, Geralt.
[ For trying. For offering at all, honestly. It may seem obvious to the witcher, but Istredd isn't used to having allies. ]
Do I go first?
[ It probably is simple to a witcher, but Istredd is looking down with some trepidation, even if he's ready to do it. ]
