Jayden does indeed follow along, letting Blake pick the direction if just because Jayden really has nowhere better in specific to be leading him. There's nowhere that stores first aid supplies or anything like that, and the well can be dangerous depending on how desperate things have gotten, so it's best to wait on that until Blake's a little more steady. And although the fact that he's walking again is promising, Jayden's pretty convinced at this point that he has broken ribs or something, and is about to call him on it when Blake introduces himself and Jayden is immediately distracted both from the injuries and from giving his own name.

"Blake? Really? You're not a police lieutenant, are you?"

He's half joking--not that it's particularly funny--but also what were the chances of running into a Blake? It seems like some sort of weird irony, especially when a little rattled after spending days in a death pit.
