Sylvain hauls the man to his feet, keeping his grip and adding a steadying hand to the other man's arm until it looks like he's got his balance under him once more. But he makes a face at the mention of the other poor person trapped in there. It's not the first one he's come across that it was too late for. He keeps hoping none of them were other Summoned. Not that it's not a terrible way for anyone to die...

One moment I was with a friend in the deserts outside Cadens and the next time these masked, robed figures came out of nowhere and swarmed us. The next thing I knew, I was waking up in one of those things, just like you did. The person I was with was alive, though - another Summoned from the Free Cities. Which you're not, I don't think, because I think I'd remember your face."
He gestures around them at the dark cavern or whatever it is they're in. "This place is full of these pods. I've been opening them as I go. A lot of people weren't as lucky as us."
