Jayden would say it's a little late for that--he's pretty sure at this point that this whole mess is cult-related--but lamenting it isn't going to do much good. He stops again as Blake does, shifting on his feet a little in agitation; with both the brief crisis and the distraction of some almost-normal conversation over with, the reality of the situation is creeping back in for him as well.

"To what, this fuckin' pit or this place overall?" It's rhetorical, and he soon just answers both questions at once. "Few days for the former, few weeks for the latter."
