Bruised would be better, but still unpleasant even in the best of situations, let alone one like this. Jayden does a quick mental rundown of options, trying to think of anything that might help, but unfortunately there isn't all that much than can be done even with unlimited supplies.

Which is certainly not the case here, as he has to unfortunately tell Blake when he asks. "Not a lot." There's really no way to sugarcoat it, even if he wanted to. "There's a well, but water's really limited. Food's kinda... There's a lot a' rotten corn, and some mushrooms, and then snakes or whatever."

The lack of food hasn't been bothering him all too much just yet, since it's only been a few days, but the water issue isn't fun and is also much more dire in general. "Supplies are pretty much whatever anyone has on 'em, or can make out of what's here. Medical supplies are totally out unless there's somethin' you could use some of the plants for, but that's not my area of expertise."

He catches a brief glimpse of something in a the shadows, but fortunately it's moving away from them, not toward. Still, it's a reminder that he should add a little more information while everything is already terrible. "There's also monsters." Which is not something that a few weeks ago he ever would've thought he'd be saying, but life comes at you fast, apparently.
