Yes, space might be appealing, along with proactive effort, which she has no doubt is part of why he's here. She, on the other hand, would rather not be alone, especially with people being taken left and right.

Daisy does, indeed, lead them towards the outcroppings he'd pointed out. Their path leads them down one of the dunes and to the opening of what looks like a small cave, and the hound gives no pause in leading them inwards, determined. There's a fork not far ahead, Petra notes, and even as she does so, the dog finally slows her pace.]
