[ Jayce watches Alucard down on the ground apparently smelling whatever it is that is rotting. He can tell something is off by how tense he gets, and Jayce winces as he leans so close his hair is almost touching the rot. It is Jayce's instinct to try and move his hair back, not everyone is as vain as he is but still, but he knows better than to distract Alucard right then.

Then he's on his feet and Jayce backs up a step, looking from him over to the wood. But ... not wood? He looks genuinely horrified as the meaning of that settles in. ]

Human flesh?

[ Oh yeah, the bile is being felt on this end too. The foreman also looks a little queasy and nods at Alucard, turning to go look at his list and find out what exactly will need to be inspected. He isn't going to question him, even if that whole thing was certainly strange to a native. ]

I thought maybe they were using the trade routes to get closer and kidnap people, this is ... not at all what I expected. What does that even mean?

[ Jayce rubs his temple. ]

Okay, I'll get in contact with someone from Thorne and Solvunn. If their routes were getting something similar, it probably means the Creed family has some explaining to do.
