I think it's a zero percent chance they won't lead to something risky. If the risk is worth it, probably, when we start getting truly desperate.

[ Istredd has a feeling that they may end up having to make that choice. There are still a few left, so he is considering asking if they should at least try to open one more and see what happens. They are genuinely running out of time. Istredd is surrounded by people who are sick and out of their mind. They deteriorate more with every passing hour, Claude included, and some of them are getting restless and violent.

He's already split up a few arguments to the best of his ability. He thinks they're all stumbling toward the reality they'll stop being able to think their way out of this. Istredd can hear the shrine talking to him. He knows it whispers to everyone sometimes, but he feels like it really gets into his head, even without needing the ritual. Could be his telepathy.
