it's not exactly a comfort to know that he's not alone in the loss of his abilities but he's glad that it's probably this place and not himself.
he rubs a hand over his face and his shoulders sag. he appreciates the man helping himi but he hates that he needs it all.

And nothing that looks like a way out? How about climbing? Are the sides of this place smooth?
