"It could either be a sign of a god they worship, or a symbol for their group. It could be both." He does wonder if the god in question is down there with them, if this is all about the shrines or will be sooner or later, and they're supposed to do it. Hard to say right now.

The earth moves underneath him again in the pit and he disconnects, disappearing for a few seconds longer than the last time. When he appears again he's on his knees, practically crawling at this point. It's so hard to focus.

"They're disrupting our ability to focus, noises and everything moving." That would maybe explain why everyone is having the same kind of feedback problem. It's not only disconnected, it's that the pit won't let them do it. "We can't use our magic, people with advanced senses have lost them too." How that's possible is beyond him at that point. That seems an incredible display of power in itself as that's not just disrupting his Chaos, it's altering how their DNA is working.

"No Josselyn Creed. We have a few hunters here, they're pushing back the monsters, so we're holding out. But we're on limited time." He starts showing up and disappearing like static, even speaking with static, none of his words making out. Istredd looks up at her, and whatever he's saying is cut out as he disappears for good.
