"There's at least one down there that has actively put effort into the arcana; he might be the best bet, if he's of sound enough mind." He doesn't know enough about the others, but Urianger could recognize it; maybe already has to a degree, but whatever sanity hits they're taking down there isn't helping any of them think clearly.
The problem with Thorne is that Lucifer's had to sink deeper into survival and paranoia than he'd usually like, and his reliance on other people due to his own weakened state. Some of those missing, like Mat, are a resource he ideally needs back.
Others he cares about were Mistakes. He had no intention to become attached, and now within the same week they were all gone, despite what help Lucifer's pressed to them for their own safety.
He got possessions and they were taken from him.
Oh, but maybe if they had stayed in the castle! It's a wonder Lucifer hasn't gotten thrown in the dungeons for Bad Behavior again. He'd like a bad target that his hosts do mind them blowing up but he also doesn't need another round of jail time. He made it through that instance with little outburst because he was just so enraged in general.
He hasn't quite hit that peak yet again and getting locked up redux version will do none of them any good, least of all himself.
He's all for blowing something up though. Thorne maybe not so much, even if it's something they don't care about. Destructive magics in the hands of the Summoned is one of their least favorite things other than allowing them weaponry.
"It can't be a Thornean mage. They might rat us out. Rhy might be around; he'd be willing to help," even if it didn't amount to anything, it'd keep his hands busy, "otherwise I could likely manage."
