[ There's a lot of fumbling, because he can't see a damn thing, so he's trying to follow her directions by touch more than anything. Which means he might have to apologize when they finally get out of here, but he's pretty sure that can wait till they break whatever this thing is.

He braces his feet where she'd found it, because he can put more force into it this way. Testing it, it does seem to have more give than where he'd been looking earlier and he settles against her with a grim sort of determination. ]

[ Third time is apparently the charm because he gets a small flicker of flame to dance on his palm - far weaker than he's used to, but at least it's there. He huffs out a relieved sigh, even though he's still worried. ] Either I'm more drained than I thought or something's interfering with my magic.
