"Sometime in the last month, and I'm going to assume it's been distributed to the three larger cities - here, Borrel, and Nott - they were all pretty heavily impacted by the food shortage. I want to be thorough about it but... I suspect if we're going to find anything, I'd bet we're going to find it in Nott. It seemed to be their trend up until recently. Until they started taking the Summoned, they were preying on people no one would miss or would expend much energy or resources to find. If the grain was tainted somehow, it would probably go unnoticed there longer."

Natasha glances over at Lenore where she walks beside her, offering her a faint smile. "I know as far as leads go, this is a... less than pleasant one. But I'd prefer to know sooner rather than later if we have something like an epidemic to worry about, or if we're going to have to be paranoid over everything we're fed."
