“Ciri,” Jayce identifies for Kell, exchanging a relieved and knowing look with Viktor. She is there safely, or at least, as safely as one can get, and other people saw her. The tracker is still working, they were right to trust that.
They got Caitlyn, he says, and Jayce swallows, emotion welling up in him right away. “I know. She’s … just look out for each other, okay?” That’s all he can ask at this point, with both of them taken and out of his ability to actually grasp. He wishes he could pull Kell into this place and make it a temporary base of safety, but it doesn’t seem possible. He’s already struggling just to be physically existing.
Jayce dives down to pick up the papers and he immediately offers them to Viktor. The two of them are so in tune with each other that he doesn’t have to say anything, trusting that his partner will quickly try to copy it over in case it does end up disappearing. They don’t trust in things staying these days, but it’s the best that they can do. He doesn’t look at it himself, he’ll do that later, for now all he cares about is Kell himself.
“I’ll talk to Rhy, let him know I saw you.” He puts a hand on Kell’s shoulder, holding him tightly, trying to give what comfort he can. “Kell, we’re on our way, I promise. We’re designing technology to track Ciri and the rest of you. We’re not going to give up until you’re back with us.” Jayce would probably keep looking for decades if he had to. There’s no such thing as giving up on his loved ones. “Is there anything I can do for you from here?”
Sorry I DIDN’T HAVE THIS TRACKED like a fool
