Jesper. Steve hasn't met the kid directly, but he's seen him around the Inn and he remembers Tony mentioning something about him being an entrepreneur or something along those lines. He doesn't ask now, not wanting to pour salt in the wound.
"He will." He responses readily when Sam's name comes up again. "Sam's got the experience to handle something like this, and he'll do a good job of reassuring everyone who hasn't been grabbed." Which, in some ways, would be even worse. It's not that Steve is glad he's here, but if he was the one wrestling with the fact that a friend had been taken from under his nose, he wouldn't be dealing with it well.
So far, he and Sam have been able to joke around about it, just because that's easier. And because it's hardly the first time one of them has been in danger. Steve remembers how he'd done everything it took to break Sam and the others out of the Raft. He knows that will be repaid tenfold now, if that's what it takes.
He nods to Inej, mustering up a smile for her. "So chin up, all right?"
