Steve nods as Natasha's name comes up too. He is a little surprised to hear that she's already learning magic, but when he gives it some more thought, it makes sense. She's not the sort of person to let a resource sit unused just because she's not used to it. Steve should take a page out of her book, and had been considering it before all this happened.

"We all worked together back home. Sam, too. We'll be in good hands with all of them out there working to find us." None of them are the types who will rest until those who've been captured are recovered, and Steve has every bit of faith that they'll manage it.

When Istredd suggests that there might be gods providing power to the acolytes, he crosses his arms over his chest and huffs out a breath. That's the last thing they need, but it would check out. "I wonder if that means that this started in Solvunn." Not that the Summoned of Solvunn have been spared capture, so there might be more to it than that.

Then Istredd opens up to him a little more, and Steve drops his arms and places one hand at his hip. "It takes some getting used to, knowing that others are relying on you like that. Who are they?" Not that he intends to get in the way, but more that he'll keep an extra eye out for them if he can.
