[ He makes a face at that before shaking his head. ] It was awful. Yeah, they made for uneasy neighbors, but all my father did was make it worse. I wanted... one day, maybe, if I ever actually became Margrave, I wanted to reach out, to try and make amends. Restore their lands back to them in attempt to... I don't know. Apologize. Offer an olive branch in hopes that we could do something different, other than constantly spilling each others' blood. Sreng and Gautier territory is already harsh and hostile enough without us adding pointless wars to it.
