It sets Steve somewhat at ease when Kaz doesn't argue the point any more than that and takes the drink. He'd had to practically shove a skewer of meat into Matt's mouth before, and he's hoping that eventually everyone realizes that rationing how much they have is different from starving themselves.

They need to keep their strength up, to keep clear heads so that they can get themselves out of this mess.

The look that Kaz gives him is far from trusting, and Steve doesn't blame him, especially in this situation. The question puzzles him, though, and he tilts his head to one side, brow furrowing.

"What do you mean?"
