[ That yawn is a comforting noise to him, if only because Claude's taking it as a sign this has worked - that it's relieved some of what the fever pulled forth to haunt Sylvain since he's not naive enough to believe it's eliminated it. That it's enough, despite the utter horrors going on around them no imaginations could dream up. That while he can't promise the other safety, at least this is enough for how important it is.

It feels wrong, for some reason, to go right back to joking about Hubert with some other feeling creeping around on the periphery. Claude can't even summon up a smile - not a visible one since he'll be careful to put one into his voice all the same to keep everything steady, and it slips his notice when the arm he has around Sylvain's shoulders tightens while he keeps a steady pace of tracing his hand back and forth. ]
