[ the thing is - he is correct in that. if yennefer had heard anything of note from her students, he and stephen would have been the first to know. it isn't the first time she's thought such a thing - that she's lucky that neither of them had been taken. that she has them to turn to, even when everything goes tits up, as it has.

and perhaps it's just the stress of knowing what is at stake, of being stripped of nearly everyone else she would consider on her side. perhaps it's her own exhaustion creeping in - but in light of all they're going through, what has happened feels...less important.

I wasn't aware that Nott cared much for the Summoned, considering there haven't been many who have been able to stay there beyond the few who escaped during the execution. [ which may have more to say about thancred's persuasive abilities, but yennefer isn't ready to go that far. ] Have there been any disappearances there? Or just rumors?
