[ in a way it is probably quite reckless, because even while protected behind these wards there is always a chance she might be heard. a chance she might be found out. but yennefer is a complicated mix of confidence in the loyalty she's shown the queen and too exhausted to really care at the moment. so when thancred sits up with some alarm, yennefer huffs a breathy sort of laugh, shaking her head. his shock isn't misplaced, but she's not going to walk it back either. ]

I'll take anything that moves decisions along more quickly. If she were any less invested, it may take weeks before anything gets approved.

[ it's not that she really needs to explain herself. thancred knows how she feels about the queen, how she feels about this whole castle, and why she is doing what she's doing. but so few people do, and it feels nice to simply let it out every now and then.

as far as the meeting with ikorr is concerned, though, yennefer just keeps going. because yes, she probably has forgiven him for whatever slight she felt at his decisions at the ball. they are things she'd never say aloud necessarily, but she's alright to keep things moving. realizes, in a way, that she can't afford to cut herself off from the few people who she can trust. ]
You could call it that. There are limitations, and taking too much of it has consequences. Nothing too serious, headaches and dizziness and that sort of thing, but it has to be administered properly. That, and our supply is limited - Ikorr's been generous to allow us the amount we have, but the Queen is worried about asking for too much more. [ and gods she hates this, something that he can probably tell by her tone - hates the hoops she has to jump through, the political maneuvering they have to do to ask for supplies. the queen obviously hadn't loved the idea of needing to reach out for aid, but she'd agreed to it in the end. it's frustrating that writing letters seems to be all that yennefer's been good for where it concerns aiding the efforts, but...

thancred's reassurance cuts through the spiral her mind had been falling down, simple and to the point and really, what had been at the core of all of yennefer's worries. she looks to him, seeing that reassurance written across his face, and she finds that she can let herself believe him. ]
I know. [ a beat, and then she exhales. shakes her head. ] But as we both know, patience has never been my strong suit.
