They do look clean at least, and he can tell they've been through healing, which is the important part. Everyone looked horrific when he first laid eyes on them, but Jesper had focused on killing everything in his path in that first section. He could fill a pool with the amount of blood he's shed over the past few weeks to find them, and there isn't an ounce of regret in him.

Jesper glances at them both and goes immediately to Inej when she stretches her hand out. He sits down next to her bed and lets his fingers tangle with hers, kissing the back of her hand tenderly. The gaping wound in his heart isn't going away, but he can fill it with the love he has, painful or not. Since he's here to stay now, he kicks off his boots, shrugs out of his vest, stripping away anything that says he isn't sticking to this room and these people.

"I hadn't gotten a chance to slow down." It's an excuse, but a realistic one. Jesper's been so frantically on the move, unable to stop the adrenaline for fear of being overwhelmed, so the moment he did stop, he lost his mind. Anger was so much safer than fear.

He moves onto the ground next to Inej's bed since that brings him down closer to her level, he's too tall, and holds onto her hand. "I love you both so much. I'm only sorry any of those bastards were left alive." They almost weren't. If it was up to Jesper, there would be none of them left, he didn't plan on stopping.

He glances over to Kaz and reaches out his other hand.
