( He is glad to hear about it, even though he missed it. It's nice to know that it's still out there doing well, and that it seems to like people enough as a general concept to save them — which isn't really the case in a lot of the more pessimistic books he's read on the nature of humanity and how it fits in with... well... nature.

It's just cute that a big turtle likes them, okay, and he needs that kind of wholesome energy in his life. It's been a rough month.

Mm, I don't know. It could go either way. I think from a literary standpoint, his foreshadowing arc is kind of fulfilled, but I could see him maybe being a cameo six or seven months from now.

( You might be saying: life is not a book, Jack. Yeah, yeah. He knows. Seeing it in shades of tropes and literary devices is a coping mechanism. )
