Jesper tries not to show his disappointment at the refusal because he understands that whatever is going on is deeply traumatic for Kaz. This may not be the time to test his physical barriers, they can do that when they're on the other side. That is why it's a welcome surprise when Kaz pulls him into a kiss instead and he keeps his arms around him. He deepens it moments later when Kaz opens to him and he gives him a truly loving kiss.

They're in the Horizon which means air doesn't exist, so he could just keep kissing Kaz until they're both senseless and desperate. Jesper pulls back because it's the smarter thing to do, now that they're reunited. He does press a second gentle kiss on his lips, a peck. "I love you." He tells him firmly, looking into his eyes. He'll keep saying it every time he can.

Kaz might be able to feel that the touch between them starts to make him feel better. He could put it on the kiss and comfort, but it's more than that. Finding each other in the Horizon heals the wounded kidnapped people. Not entirely, but some of his pains are easing.

"I'm coming for you, Kaz. We're on our way."
