Kaz hesitates, she feels it in the tension in the air more than she sees it in him, but he does concede. Join them. Sits with her, reaches for Jesper. Every single inch of movement is being recorded in her mind- how much was he affected, how backwards is he sliding, is everything gone back to square one again? Mostly, all boiling down to: How much is he not telling us? But he does. Try. He is. Here. Close. Not running.

She watches Jesper, next. Soft and sweet, leaning into kisses to his temple, his lips against her fingers. There's more under the surface- his outburst in the square is plenty proof enough for that. But she isn't ready to dig further. She's still so tired.

"I'm going to worry about you, whether you like it or not," she tells him, squeezing his fingers in hers. She can't imagine the things that went on while they were trapped.

She shakes her head at the question of talking about it yet. No, she's definitely not ready to unpack the last month yet. "Stay," she says softly. "I don't need anything else, just...stay."
