[ It's good to see that Gideon can still manage a smile in these circumstances. Not that it comes easy, he knows, but she's got a hardiness to her, that's for sure. He draws his hand back before she walks off to pick up one of the corpses, taking that moment when her back is turned to steel himself before he takes to task as well.
It won't be long before the stench in here becomes unbearable as these water-logged bodies rot, but Steve knows better than to draw attention to that. He wouldn't be surprised if some people end up retching from it before the day (night? who knows) is out. Just another bodily fluid to add to the rest of the blood, pus, sweat (and probably tears, in some cases).
He heaves the dead weight of one of the bodies up into his arms, then carries the corpse over to the area he'd indicated and sets it down. He glances over his shoulder at Gideon as she approaches, then steps out of the way to give her room. ]
