After his failed attempt at a cure, Kell resigns to simply hovering over Wilhelm most of the time. Making sure both he and Mat eat, drink and at least try to sleep. Which is a lot more difficult with Wilhelm. At this point, Kell needs no further evidence that he's not a healer. Never will be. So he makes no further attempts at curing anyone else.
It's not what he thinks about when the whole place starts collapsing. He follows the sound of Wilhelm's voice, narrowly avoiding debris raining from above. Not every single piece he can dodge. A splinter hits his shoulder, sharp enough to cut through layers of fabric. Kell doesn't even notice. So focused he is on his one goal. For all the mayhem the awakening of the creature - he's still surprised it was a living thing all this time - has caused, it is enough of a distraction that the Acolytes would be too busy to react. They can slip past the boulder, whenever that leads. Kell wants to believe it does lead somewhere.
"Come, we must go now."
Kell grabs Wilhelm's hand as he says those words, determined to drag him along even if he resisted. Fully aware, Wilhelm might resent him for it later.
Kell hates the fact that he needs to do it, if only to make sure that Wilhelm will follow him and do not wander off to whatever sick vision the mushroom miasma has spun before his eyes to entice him to stay. He hates ordering people, forcing anyone to do something against their will. But it's that, or he admits to another failure. He'd rather have Wilhelm safe - marginally safer even - and hating him, than leave him here. Not when there's even slim chance of escape.
