Lenore's a little surprised at his expression and his words, which come across as a bit dismissive. Is lust no longer a sin? Or not one that matters in whatever world this Lucifer comes from?

"What is it that motivates you?" she asks, genuinely curious both about the answer and about how he might wiggle out of answering it. Why is Lucifer so rattled by the fear of these humans being hurt or damaged? She's still not entirely convinced this is the same fallen angel that she's read about in the lore from her own world, but he absolutely is an intriguingly complex individual.
