Jayce sees this more as a distraction, although if the negotiation then leads to a successful ending, then all the better for it. They had already discussed before approaching this in a dual way, one diplomatic and one potentially violent, and he wants this to be over too. But in a hostage situation like this, it is only increasingly more important to be cautious.

He knows Rhy but only just met Lenore, respectfully nodding his head to her as they search for the entrance. Jayce doesn't love the muddy bog-like energy of this place either. He is very serious and focused at the moment, thinking ahead to what has to come, what they must do. He glances over at Rhy and he doesn't think it's stupid. Jayce is also an optimistic person on the whole and he has a history of confidently pushing his hopeful agenda until it worked.

"Yes, first we need to get their attention, and being intimidating will definitely do that. I don't know that we can scare true believers by a show of force though, I am thinking we have to take a different tactic. Appealing to their religious zeal, maybe."

Religion is not really a huge deal in Piltover, in fact in their technologically advanced society, people tend to brush religion to the side. It wasn't until Jayce came here that he learned a little bit more about other worlds. He is not above using whatever they can to manipulate this situation. He doesn't have to be a believer to use the right words.
