Jesper holds Wilhelm close and something tense in him relaxes too just being with him. He is a natural protector and it was impossible to be one recently, with all his loved ones far away, but he can satisfy that urge now. He has Wilhelm wrapped in his arms and affection and Saints help anyone who tries to touch him now. Jesper would fight an army off by himself if he had to in order for him to feel safe.

He opened up the option for Wilhelm to talk if he wanted to by expressing his own fears, and he listens quietly when he decides to talk. His hand around Wilhelm's shoulder rubs up and down that arm, trying to comfort in every way that he can. Jesper knows he can't actually understand what went on in there.

"I get it, in a way being crazy gave you a break from the rest of it." It sounds reasonable to him. It may even be why in situations like this people do lose their minds after too much trauma, as a way to cope with what happened.

"Whatever you did to survive it, and whatever you have to do to get past it, I hope you understand that you shouldn't feel guilty about any of it."
