Jesper listens to Kaz and what he is trying to express to them and he nods in understanding. Sometimes they can push him out of his comfort zone, but sometimes he is allowed to keep his boundaries. The difference is he actually tells them about it now.

"Thanks for explaining, love." That's a step up just as much as allowing them skin contact. This entire relationship is about them opening up and bonding on multiple levels. "I'll get us food. The two of you need to keep healing." They really shouldn't leave here, it's utter chaos out there. He can get his boots back on in a minute, after they've snuggled or showed enough affection to make it easier.

But the problem is, he does have one thing he has to say. And it won't be easy. His eyes turn to Inej and he squeezes her hand, his expression serious. "Inej, there's something I have to tell you. And it's going to be difficult." For the two of them, this is more painful due to their time in Cadens. But he doesn't want Inej to hear it from someone else. They are already in a pained place, and there is no better option than her to be flanked by the men who love her.

"Dean's dead. His brother told me when we were on the mountain. He died on the way back to the portal." Jesper already had to go through his feelings about this, and he did try to help Sam process too. It hurt as he always looked up to Dean, in a way.
