[ As soon as they stumbled through the portal into Nocwich, Natasha had practically dragged Steve to the inn that had been set up in advance to receive all of the recovered survivors. He hasn't been here long, but they've found him a bed (this room has a second one, so it seems he'll eventually be sharing it with someone) and he's being treated.

Along with all of the open sores that have sprouted across his body following the ritual, Steve has a few other wounds. The dried blood at his temple is wiped off, but he's still got a nasty bruise there. The scratch marks across his throat and part of his chest are what the nurses focus on next, and he doesn't make a sound at the sting of disinfectant or the odd sensation of healing magic attempting to knit his wounds back together. ]

[ The healer tilts her head up to stare at him with razor-sharp eyes, and Steve pauses for just a moment. He's exhausted, he's malnourished, and it shows. The dark bags under his eyes, the slightly sunken look to his face. It's because the serum has only just reactivated, though. ]

What I mean is, in a few days I'll be back to normal, so I was just saying you might want to save your strength for someone else...

[ He's ignored outright then, and just lets out a sigh as he allows them to do their work. But then he hears a set of hurried footsteps coming down the inn hallway. He's pretty sure he recognizes the sound of that gait and who it belongs to, and he lifts his gaze up to the slightly ajar door. ]
