As before, when Kell acts badly, Istredd just calmly waits for him to get through that instinct. He is a very patient person who knows very emotional people. He has emotions inside of him, strong ones, but he has always been composed. It helps him in situations like this.

"You definitely don't know what you are to Lucifer. Even he doesn't know." A little hint into the heart of the angel that he knows better than anyone else could. Istredd thinks sometimes Lucifer needs a translator or everyone's going to think they're a placeholder or resource.

Istredd studies him for a moment. "Would you be willing to try something with me?" He puts a hand on Kell's shoulder, grounding him. "I'm a telepath, but I'm also a telempath. It means, given permission, I can share my feelings with you directly. That way you will know they're not just words. You do not have to share anything back, it will be a one-way offer."

Sometimes this is the best way to get through people so defensive and upset. There is perfect clarity when it comes to this part of Istredd's skills. Lucifer could tell him all about that.
