They seem so inconsequential now to where he can't believe they mattered at all. Even less so when she breaks the kiss and it's his turn to sigh, eyes closed as she moves along his throat before their mouths find each other's again.
Eagerness has him moving, this time to lay Hilda back carefully against the mattress beneath them as he moves to balance his weight over her without interrupting anything. Something not yet healed yet twinges somewhere as he moves with another smaller one following, reminders to not stress whatever injuries are hidden away too much but he ignores it. It's not enough to pull his focus away from pressing his lips to one corner of her mouth before trailing more kisses along her jaw. The hand at her waist he slides up beneath the hem of her shirt to rest at her hip as the trail leads her down the side of her neck as he starts to shift to continue on further.
Claude means to continue but this time it's the still healing gash running along his back which sends a sharp warning through him when he moves the wrong way, and that has him letting out a negative noise not tied to anything else going on. The flash of pain can't be disregarded when it's as clear of a sign as any to stop before something worse occurs, and this time around Claude heeds the warning as he leans down to put his forehead on her shoulder with a mildly frustrated huff. ]

[ Claude hasn't forgotten Hilda's warning to tell her if cuddling up together brought on too much discomfort, and he's assuming stopping abruptly told on him enough without needing to specify further. And joking about it is what's best, right? Right. So: with a kiss to her collarbone he sits up again and withdraws his hand from her side to reach up and run it through her hair once more with a faux thinking expression on. ]
