I suppose not really before now. They're the sort of thing I'd taken for granted as being able to find in shops and infirmaries, though since they're not my preferred projects I can't say what all goes into the ones I've used.

[ Claude's area of expertise being poisons, and that being something not often being grouped in with everything else. Aside from perhaps also being able to create the all important antidotes for what's needed, since that likely qualifies, but even that seems like it's something else entirely to what they're speaking of with transformations and blood.

The bandage is tightened but he hardly notices it in the wake of what's said. How Witchers were made. His eyes had drifted to his wound but now they're back on Geralt a second later as he absorbs that piece of information - and the past tense, and their vague talks of what a Witcher is from before. Suddenly something else about why Lysithea's crossing his mind now yet again clicks. Claude's gaze shifts to Geralt's hair as he looks at it for a long moment then thinks, ah. ]

A friend of mine went through the experiments from home I'd mentioned. She was the only survivor, and afterwards her hair turned white. [ That being the most obvious connection; and there's more, possibly, but the finer details of it aren't truly his to share and there's always the possibility he's simply lining up two coincidences. ] It was a sign of success, or so it was said to her.
