[ The comparison to Castle Thorne is enough for Claude to raise an eyebrow since that puts Thorne in a little more context. Interesting.
Not as interesting as getting an answer to his question, though, and he listens quietly while Kyle speaks. The towers are things he recognizes if only from ones present in the Horizon built by others, and for a second he considers a city full of them. What that must be like when each one seemed like an absolute marvel to him here, faithfully recreated as they were in being plucked from someone's memories. Food, however, will always get a nod of absolute agreement from him. ]
I think you'd like Derdriu, where my House was based and where I lived for several years. We can't claim the towers of glass and metal - most of ours are stone, really - but it's far more spectacular than what I managed to put together in the Horizon. The city's set upon the seas with canals running through it, and the main canals all lead to the markets. The biggest one has just about anything you could ever hope to find in it with things from all over Fodlan and from other countries beyond its borders. There's no shortage of cafes or restaurants either aside from what you can find at the food stands.
[ All of that comes out considerably more wistful than he'd intended it to, and it's not lost on Claude. Maybe it's from missing somewhere he'd grown to care for more than he'd thought, or maybe it's the realization (reminder) the Horizon's likely the best they can do when it comes to sharing any of this which has him sending a rueful smile Kyle's way. ]
Anyway. Derdriu fits some of your list. I'd take you to visit there if I could, but we probably don't want to wish for any kind of reverse Summoning, do we?
