Her wardrobe is thrown open so can regard her choices of which there are plenty (one would argue too many) but still nowhere near enough to rival her wardrobe at home. Faintly she realizes that she hadn't touched many of them in the past few weeks. There hadn't been any spare brain power or energy to pour into meticulously chosen outfit combinations. As a result she had ended up re-wearing outfits back to back, something she never would have done at home if given the choice. In the act of realizing that, she catches herself reaching for something that she had worn yesterday. Who was she turning into?
With a quick shake of her head to dispel that awful habit she reaches for a different dress she hasn't seen in weeks just as Claude's voice floats through the gap in the door. Her response in return is just as teasing. ]

[ Her fingers curl around the fabric knowing she's made a mistake. Before this, Hilda never would have thought to second guess herself with a response like that. Their easy banter had ben one of the things she had loved about their dynamic; she'd never had to think twice about the flirty playfulness that coloured their interactions with each other. Yet here she was, saying something that she had said plenty of times before that now might betray a want she decided she couldn't have.
She quickly tries to move past it and forces a laugh out to cover her misstep. Whatever she was holding onto would suffice and Hilda makes quick work of trying to work her way out of the dress she's wearing. ]
But I think I made dinner plans tonight and I'm sure you have other things to do.
