A noise of protest slips from Hilda when Blake tugs his hand away. She could have clipped skin instead of nail! Staying (really) annoyed at Blake is an impossible task however. A small part of her worries what the experience may have smothered or killed in Blake. There isn't any part of her that will ever see Blake as weak, but she can't imagine going through what they've gone through and coming out unscathed.

The amusement soothes some of that fear, at least for now as she lets out her own laugh. "That's what I'm here for, obviously. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't come bearing a banner, a manicure, a reminder that you're special and that you have hands?" Her eyes sparkle before adding, "And how else are you going to hold our bags when we go to Aquila for our date?"
