At this point the only thing actually giving him comfort is Lucifer himself, and getting back to teaching. The newcomers showed up and had no one there this time to help them, so he's tried. He feels like himself when he focuses on magic, but he otherwise has been very withdrawn. There is so much to remember and write down. Oolong is the least friendly of the ravens so the fact he's perched on Wilhelm is all about who he is.

"Well that's good news." He means it too, his tone is sincere, Wilhelm usually avoids talking about his magic, so it could be a good sign. It occurs to him then that he hasn't really checked in on the boy or his progress, which is unfortunate. "Follow me."

Istredd has brought Wilhelm into a training room before so it might seem like that is what he's doing, but once he steps inside, it's not that at all. He has his own room that he sometimes makes when he is doing his own work. It doesn't always look this way, but it is Istredd's private nook that only pops up when he wants it.

Normally people who come in here would see that three of the walls are covered in too much information, from Lucifer's conspiracy board, to a wall with details he copied over from the Spared leaving notes in Sam Wilson's domain, and Istredd's own details from the Pit. But he doesn't want to fill Wilhelm's brain with his intense type of focused research, so they seem normal at the moment. Nice and cozy nook, although Lucifer's painting is still hung up.

"I'm sorry if I've been distant, I've been spending most of my time in here, writing down my memories before they start to fade." He's a historian. Historians have to write everything down. "I thought you might need more time to recover before you felt good about training again."
