"I don't care. I love you and people don't get to stab you." Sure, he's the weird one here! Not wanting his partner to get violently assaulted just because it would barely hurt him. "I would have had to attack Kyle and I really don't want to, he's a friend." But Istredd would have. Not to hurt him, no doubt, but more likely to put a shield around Lucifer and force space between them. It is rare he uses magic aggressively even now.

Istredd does see Kyle as a friend. Maybe not the closest of friends, but he feels like they have been opening up to each other more. They conspiracy theory like usual, but there's real talk in there too now.

"It did seem very strange of him to do that in his right mind." Kyle just didn't seem the type. Istredd's concerned now for him. Yes he can go from thinking about attacking him to worry for a friend. They can both be real. Maybe that ends the last of his prickles of jealousy.
