He doesn't exactly know how to try being in love with someone for months ha, but he does understand being weak. It's part of the reason why he just threw caution to the wind and went with it.

Well if I hadn't done it, it likely would be weeks from then before I exploded, so really, all things considered, I was helping us out. He hems and haws before he adds, I didn't want to make sure we were on the page because I was certain we weren't even in the same book.

Also saying he's 'not wrong' instead of saying he was right is just about as bad and rude as Lucifer saying 'I don't not want you.'
